Homemade Ground Turkey Nachos
N: 7 out of 10. The Turkey Nachos were made with Ground Turkey, corn, Pico de Gallo and a type of guacamole mix. You probably do not see this combination everyday but Alisha currently has me doing the Beachbody 21 day fix with her. Apparently the large amount of nachos that I have been consuming lately had started to catch up with me.
A: 8 out 10. Take the paper plate out of the equation here and these look like restaurant quality nachos. All we are missing is the Cheese!
C: 5 out of 10. I can’t say how the meal plan works with the 21 day fix as Alisha has been totally in charge of meal preparation. Somehow though I guess you are allowed 2 hard shell tortillas or two soft shell corn tortillas. I obviously chose the hard shell tortillas and broke them up to make them into chips. The “chips” looked and initially tasted good but the stability was downright embarrassing. Even with this small plate the stability was gone before I was half way through. I ended up using a spoon to finish off this plate.
H: 8 out of 10. If I wasn’t on the 21 day fix I probably would not pick this combination of ingredients. However, if you have to pick a meal while trying to lose a few lbs. this was a great choice. Everything outside of the chips tasted great and if I was ranking these nachos as compared to other diet type foods they would certainly be a 10.
O: 7 out of 10. The Ground Turkey Nachos definitely served their purpose on day 12 of the 21 day fix. We are just over half way through and getting a little bored with the food so this combination was a pleasant surprise. Overall I would say that if I could have added a little cheese to these nachos and some real chips these nachos could have reached a 9 status. However, that could just be the diet talking!
